This Site is operated by Company and has been created to provide information about our company, software and services provided by the Company (the “Company Services”) to our Site visitors and customers (“you”, “your”). This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets out how Company uses and protects any personal information (“Personal Data”) that you provide to us collected through your use of the Site and/or Company Services.
Fourteen5 is the controller of your Personal Data collected through your use of our Site pursuant to the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, as applicable. Please note that to the extent you are providing Personal Data via the mobile application (“App”) in connection with your occupation or use of a building in which you live or work we process this data on behalf of our customers who are building owners (“Customer Data”). We are a processor when we process Customer Data, and this Privacy Policy does not govern how we process such data.

- Information We Collect:
When you interact with us through the Site and use Company Services, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:
- Personal Data That You Provide: We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you contact us with inquiries, respond to one of our surveys, register for access to the Company Services or use certain Company Services. Wherever Company collects Personal Data we make an effort to provide a link to this Privacy Policy.
- Location Data: Some features and functionality in our Company Services require that you provide your location. If you have location services turned on, whenever you use such Company Services on your mobile device, we collect and use your geocoordinates (e.g. latitude and longitude) to tailor the Company Services to your current location. We will only process your location with your express permission. If you have persistent background location turned on, we will obtain your device’s location even if you are not using the Company Services on your mobile device. Your location is never shared with others, except with your consent or as permitted under this Privacy Policy. We use various technologies to determine your precise location, such as the location services of your operating system or browser, sensor data from your device (e.g. magnetometer, barometer, gyroscopes, accelerometers, compasses, Bluetooth data, beacon data, Wi-Fi access points, GPS data, and cell tower data), and other data that may help us understand your precise location.If you have opted-in to sharing your background location with us as part of using the Company Services, you may remove your permission at any time by going into your operating device settings and toggling off background sharing.
- Interaction with our Site: When you interact with Company through the Site, we receive and store certain Personal Data. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. Company may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Company affiliates, agents or service providers. This Site may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, and the domain names of our visitors’ Internet service providers. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process. For further details please see the section on “Cookies” below.
- Setting up an account via the App: when you download our App and set up an account direct with us, we will collect certain Personal Data from you such as your username and password. For all other Personal Data collected via the App, this will be collected on behalf of the owner of your building who is our customer (“Customer Data”). We are a processor for Customer Data and this Privacy Policy does not govern how we process any Customer Data.
- Aggregated Personal Data: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Company Services, Company often conducts research on its customer and user demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and Company may share this aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. Company may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.
- Our Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information:
We process the Personal Data you provide to us to enable us to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you, to ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements and for the purposes of our legitimate business interests, including:

- Privacy Shield
Fourteen5 complies with the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks (“Frameworks”) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the processing of Personal Data transferred from the EU and Switzerland to the U.S. (for these purposes, reference to the EU also includes the European Economic Area countries of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). Company has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles (described below). If there is any conflict between the policies in this Privacy Policy and the EU or Swiss Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. General. We rely on our Privacy Shield certification to transfer Personal Data that we receive from the EU and Switzerland to Fourteen5 in the U.S. and Switzerland to Company in the U.S. and we process such Personal Data in accordance with the Privacy Shield Principles of Notice, Choice, Accountability for Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability (“Privacy Shield Principles”), as described below. We commit to treat personal data transfers from the United Kingdom to Fourteen5 in the U.S. subject to our Privacy Shield certification.
- Notice and Choice. This Privacy Policy provides notice of the Personal Data collected and transferred under the Privacy Shield and the choice that you have with respect to such Personal Data. It also provides information about other Privacy Shield Principles that are set forth below.
- Accountability for Onward Transfers. We may be accountable for the Personal Data we receive under the Privacy Shield that we may transfer to third-party service providers (described in the section “How We Share and Disclose Personal Data” above). If such service providers process Personal Data in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, we are responsible for the harm caused.
- Security. We maintain security measures to protect Personal Data as described in the “Security” section of this Privacy Policy.
- Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation. We take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data is reliable for its intended use, and that it is accurate, complete and current for as long as we retain it. - Exclusions
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by Company other than Personal Data collected through the Site or the Company Services. This Privacy Policy will not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to Company through this Site or through any other means. This Site and the Company Services may contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by Company (the “Third Party Sites”). - Our policy on Do Not Track Signals
